Spring Production: Fiddler on the Roof

Synopsis

Fiddler on the Roof features the Jewish community of Anatevka village. This musical story centers around Tevye, a milkman, his wife, Golde, and their five daughters. Tevye desperately wants to hold on to his religious and cultural traditions but life’s influences threaten to encroach on his values. He deals with the growing desires of his three oldest daughters’ wishes to marry for love. Then the Tsar warns of an edict that will force them from their home. All of these threaten the traditions Tevye is desperate to maintain.

The performance is co-directed by Dr. Vickie Wisdom and Professor Lori Lawley with stage design by Michael Buesking and set construction by Michael Butcher, costuming by Tricia Larson, and choreography by Brooke Williamson.
